All through winter I painted a lot, exploring new textures and colours. I did a lot of sketches inspired by Iris (https://haeussler.ca/). Winter landscapes appealed to me and I searched how to give them a presence in my paintings through transparency, fragmentation and distorsion.
Black ink, oil pastel and oil on cartridge paper various sizes and one canevas “upside down on a chair” 22×28 (55x 71 cm).
Back to “life drawing session” last evening in TSA, the model was very good and I tested different medias (charcoal, pastel, white acrylic paint, ink on paper) I added 3 drawings I made with the same model but in Martha Eleen’s course “figure in the context” .(https://tsa-art.com/faculty-staff/martha-eleen/)
I was very lucky to attend a 4 days workshop with J Louis in New York. It was rich, intense and so inspiring! Here are my two paintings done during the workshop with all the precious advices of J Louis. https://www.jlouis.co/
